Know some of the most important competitors of our history.
Because of their performances Brazil conquered the international respect and recognition.
Analyzing their "curriculums" maybe the tiny number of titles sounds strange; but it is very important to know that the number and frequency of championships were very restrict in that time The South American Championships, for example, didn't have a defined frequency: it could happen every 2 or 3 years. The same occured to the Pan-American Championships.
THERE WERE NO INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR CATEGORIES INFERIOR TO SENIOR!!!
Many of the related champions fought without weight divisions: there were no categories distinction in that time.
Others fought a little bit later when three, then five, weight divisions were instituted.
Therefore, after analyzing all those differences and data, it'll become easier to understand and acknowledge the efforts of all those heroes.
And it is worth to say that " IF OUR JUDO GOT SOME RECOGNITION OF THE AUTHORITIES AND TODAY WE TAKE COMPLETE TEAMS FOR THE OLYMPIC AND PAN-AMERICAN GAMES", we own it to their generation.
Therefore, if you have the opportunity to maintain contact with any of them, don't miss it!
To reduce the riss of commit an injustice, since we know that many are the ones who deserve to be related in this page, we will try to increase our list and to include new names whenever we get to enough informatios.

In the nex few weeks we'll show AURELIO MIGUEL, ROGERIO SAMPAIO (both Olympic Champions) histories in an exclusive interview.
